PURIFYING PORE CLEANSING AWARENESS

Pore cleansing treatments are not suitable for everyone. Individuals with certain medical or skin conditions should avoid or modify such procedures to prevent irritation or complications. Contraindications include active infections (such as herpes or acne), inflammatory skin disorders like eczema, psoriasis, or rosacea, as well as open wounds and sunburned skin. Those with broken capillaries, product allergies, or who are pregnant should also exercise caution. Additionally, people currently using medications such as oral retinoids must consult a professional before treatment.

Absolute Contraindications

Active infections: Includes bacterial, fungal, or viral conditions such as acne, cold sores, or similar infections.

Open wounds: Cuts, abrasions, or skin lesions should be fully healed before treatment.

Severe skin conditions: Avoid if affected by eczema, psoriasis, or seborrheic dermatitis with inflammation or irritation.

Broken capillaries: Strong suction or harsh treatments can worsen these.

Sunburn: Never perform pore cleansing on irritated or sunburned skin.

Allergies: Any known allergic reaction to ingredients or products used.

Relative Contraindications (Require Modification or Doctor’s Approval)

Pregnancy/Breastfeeding: Some products or techniques may be unsuitable.

Medications: Includes oral retinoids (Accutane), blood thinners, and topical steroids.

Recent cosmetic procedures: Laser therapy, chemical peels, or surgery may require waiting before treatment.

Other conditions: Autoimmune diseases, uncontrolled diabetes, or a tendency to form keloid scars need professional assessment.

General Precautions

Always consult a qualified professional to evaluate your skin and identify potential contraindications.

For sensitive skin, perform a patch test and avoid products with strong fragrances, essential oils, or drying alcohols.

Do not use pore strips or strong vacuum devices on delicate or compromised skin to prevent bruising or capillary damage.
